Metropolis by the Coastline

It is hard to believe that Sydney is not the capital city of Australia. After all, there are so many beautiful and iconic attractions in the city. Though it is not the capital of the country, it is the largest metropolitan city of Australia located on the east coast. It has a thriving population and rapidly growing economy, which is partially thanks to the tourism sector of the country. Sydney is home to beautiful sites, spectacular beaches, and thrilling outdoor experiences.

Blue Mountains

The Blue Mountains are a breathtaking sight that everyone should experience at least once. After a scenic 2 hour drive west of Sydney, you will wind up at this beautiful location. It consists of one million hectares of sandstone cliffs, forests, canyons, waterfalls and lookout points. These mountains are a heritage site that is popular with over 140 kilometers of walking tracks that visitors use to admire the beautiful scenery and wildlife.

Switch to something more a little more thrilling at Scenic World, where you can get a bird’s eye view of the Three Sisters and Katoomba Falls. You can take a ride on the skyway with transparent glass underfoot to view the canyons below or the Cableway, Walkway, and Railway.

Jenolan Caves

This is another great attraction you should look forward to visiting Sydney. This natural attraction is one of the oldest underground cave systems in the world. They are so vast that some parts are still under exploration. The parts that are open for tours mean adventure for people who like to explore. Recapture your awe as you drive through the grand archway made of majestic limestone. The best thing about these carves is that you do not need to have a high level of fitness to maneuver through the nooks and crannies to the best spots.

Sydney Harbour

There is no place quite like the Sydney Habour, and the best way to experience it is with a world-class cruise. From the perspective of this comfortable vessel, you can gently drift across the water, enjoying lovely Australian cuisine as the crisp air brushes gently across your face. You will get to look back upon Harbour Bridge and the world-famous Opera House. Some cruises can take you beyond these spots to destinations such as Taronga Zoo, Manly, Darling Harbour or other bays and inlets. From the cruise ship, you will see beautiful harbor-side mansions and dazzling sunset.

Thrilling Outdoor Experiences

Generally speaking, Sydney has excellent weather all year round. The great weather means that you can enjoy great outdoor experiences during your visit. Start by taking a walk at the Sidney Habour Bridge, where you will meet incomparable views with exciting stories about the bridge. Best of all, the climbs are available dawn to dusk. You can also take a scenic plane tour of the habour and go snorkeling in Gordons Bay, where you will enjoy clear crystal blue waters. Finally, you can finish with kayaking to Shark Island and end your outdoor experiences on an adrenaline high.
