The Buzz around Ibiza

The most popular and scenic island of the Balearic Islands is Ibiza. Many people know this place for its thriving rave scene popular since the 90s.  However, Ibiza is more than just a party hub. It surprisingly offers a more sedate experience to help you unwind. Even though it is relatively small, there is never a dull moment in the city. It is packed with fun, engaging activities to boost your mood. It is also home to incredible breathtaking sights that will help you forget all your troubles. This party island is the ultimate tourist destination for those who seek thrill and chill.

Clubbing

Naturally, a trip to Ibiza should start with a night out on the town because it is the first thing you will think of. Experience a thriving nightlife from the city that hosts the International Music Summit every May. The parties keep on going well after this summit thanks to the many world-known clubs. Ibiza Town, Playa d’en Bossa and San Antonio host some of the liveliest clubs in the island. From iconic joints like Amnesia, Pacha, and Privilege to the world-famous Ushuaïa. Ibiza is hands down the best destination for a banging nightlife.

Formentera

Popularly known as the Caribbean Islands of the Mediterranean Sea, this island is located just 9 kilometres from Ibiza. It is a gorgeous place with sandy beaches and plenty of sunshine. The sea here consists of crystal blue waters that are so enchanting; you cannot help but dive on in. This is a great place to unwind after a night out as you can relax on the beach and enjoy the dripping sunset. It is also a great place to take a walk and explore the island to stunning views from cliff tops, and open fields.

Authentic Spanish Food

If you have not yet had a taste of authentic Spanish cuisine, then Ibiza has something exciting for your taste buds. The Mediterranean influence pops up delightfully in each seafood platter you will eat. Indulge in some island favorites such as bacalao (cod), merluza (hake), emperador (swordfish) and lenguado (sole). Be sure to settle for salads or potatoes on the side so you can taste the fish fully. Because Ibiza is well-known, you will find a hoard of international restaurants; luxury spots, and fast food joints.

Hipster Markets

Hipster fashion and charm is present in Ibiza through several markets that exist since the sixties. This charming island gets most of its appeal from a handful of hippie markets. In these markets, you will find old-school style of clothing, authentic Iberian products, workshops, and live music. The original market place is Las Dalias; it has been the home of markets for more than 60 years now. You will find over 300 stalls selling unique items, including clothes, jewelry, artisan products, and much more. Another famous market you should visit is Cala Llenya. It is a second-hand market perfect for people on the hunt for a good bargain. Finally, be sure to pass by Sunday market in San Juan for the best fresh and organic food.
